Boston, Massachusetts.

Ah guys, let me tell you, Boston is one of my favorite cities. I have always had a thing about New York City but lately Boston is coming in a very close second! Boston has awesome restaurants/bars, architecture, shopping, and of course lobster rolls, duh. I have been to Boston many times but this most recent trip was the first time I went whale watching there. When I was around 7 or 8 years old, my mom and aunt decided to take my cousins, sister, and I on a whale watch in Maine, oh my gosh what a nightmare that was. We didn't see any whales, we were under a tornado watch while on the water, and a ton of people on the boat were sea sick. Frankly I didn't want to go whale watching ever again but my friend really wanted to go so I gave in. This time definitely wasn't like before, as you can tell my first experience was rare. Everyone should really put whale watching on their bucket list because it was truly beautiful! On average, a whale watching trip should probably take about 3-4 hours. On our trip we saw a mother and her baby, a couple seals, and some other whales. By the time we got back on ground we were starving. We went to one of my sister and my favs for lunch, Stephanie's on Newbury. It's on Newbury Street. Oh my goodness, the food, the atmosphere, and presentation is just perfection here. I had a cobb salad, my sister had a salad with baked goat cheese, and my friend had grilled cheese with avocado. Everything was fabulous! I also had a martini made with Stoli strasberi, lejay cassis, and pineapple juice. We had perfect weahter so we were able to sit on the patio. I absolutley love Newbury Street! There is some amazing shopping on this street. If you love Tj Maxx like I do, there is a huge, two story Tj Maxx on Newbury Street. Then of course there are some high end designers on this street such as Gucci, Chanel, and Prada as well. Unfortunately, we only had about a day and a half in Boston so I didn't get to go many places on my "list". I wanted to go to Acorn Street, Top of the Hub, Tatte Bakery, and Fromage just to name a few. Although, we did get to a tavern that I was dying to try out called Bukowski Tavern. We had a late lunch at Stephanie's so we just went to  Bukowski's later that evening for a drink/appetizer. We split the white trash tater tot poutine, ahh it was just as good as I assumed it was going to be. It was perfectly crisp tater tots with beef gravy, a spicy cheese sauce, and green onion on top. It seriously was heaven. The only things to remember with the Boston location, it's 21 and older and cash only. Let me tell you guys, this place is worth a shot. Another thing to do while in Boston is, of course go to the Quincy Market. There are some shops and places to get good seafood. Boston Chowda is heavenly. They have seafood chowders, lobster mac and cheese, and lobster rolls.

Kennebunkport, Maine.

Now, on to telling you guys about Kennebunkport. Oh my goodness, what a darling town! I have been there before but it was when I was really young. Everything about this town just screams, Maine. Unfortunately, we didn’t have as much time there as I would have liked but it was enough time to fall in love with it! We went to the beach, shopped at some charming shops in town, and of course ate & drank some amazing stuff. New England has some amazing beaches. Some of the top beaches in Kennebunkport include Kennebunk Beach; could be referred to as Mother's Beach/Gooch's Beach too, Goose Rocks Beach, Middle Beach, Colony Beach, and Cleaves Clove Beach. We actually went to Gooch's Beach, it was gorgeous. There is something about being by the ocean, it just makes you forget all your worries. This beach is about a 5-10 minute drive to the village of Kennebunkport. The village has a lot to offer. While in the village we did some shopping, ate at Alisson's Restaurant, and also went to Kennebunkport Brewing Company. Oh em gee if you love lobster, Alisson's Restaurant is a place for you. My sister and I shared "Lobster Poutine". It was perfectly crisp french fries with lobster bisque, lobster pieces, and cheese curds over them. It was absolutely heaven! They had a lot of unique "lobster dishes" on their menu and it is right in the village of Kennebunkport. As for the Kennebunkport Brewing Company, they had some amazing beers with a fabulous view! My sister and I shared a flight but they did have some special cocktails as well. If you get hungry while sipping your beer there is a restaurant in with the brewery too. Kennebunkport stole my heart and I’m sure it will steal yours as well.

Portland & Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Hey guys! I recently took a little road trip to good ol New England. I have been going up to Maine/New Hampshire pretty much my whole life. I have family that lives in New Hampshire. In my opinion, everyone should try to make it up to these gorgeous states at least once in their life. For this road trip, I went with my sister and our friend. We all decided to go to Portland/Cape Elizabeth first then drive down to Kennebunkport, and lastly make our way down to Boston. This was actually my first time going to Portland, Maine. It's a cute town with some good restaurants/bars. We ended up getting to Portland around six in the evening because we stopped to see my aunt who lives in Dover, New Hampshire. By the time we got settled into our hotel in Portland, we were just exhausted after a long day of being in the car. We were just ready to grab a cocktail and order take out from somewhere. We went to a little place called Duckfat which is right in downtown Portland and oh my gosh everything was amazing! Duckfat is very small and looks to be always busy. They serve belgian fries, salads, sandwiches, and more. They try to serve local foods which I love. I had a fabulous panini with bacon, goat cheese, and tomato. We also split their belgian fries with sides of garlic mayo and truffle ketchup. Oh my goodness, everything was so good! I highly recommend this place! The next morning, we got an early start and headed downtown to the old port. It had some cute shops and amazing architecture. We ended up meeting up with my cousin at Shipyard Brewery. It was a cute brewery with good prices. A flight was only four or five dollars. We also went to this another brewery called Long Pine Brewery, it was about a five-minute drive from Shipyard Brewery. Overall both breweries had really good beers. And for the wine lover, there is actually a darling place right next to Long Pine Brewery called the Blue Lobster Wine Company. The owner is very down to earth and welcoming. The wine comes in cans and the logo on the cans is adorable. After our beer tastings, we decided to go for lunch in Cape Elizabeth which is about 30 minutes from downtown Portland. It worked out perfectly because the place we wanted to go to eat at was right by the Portland Head Lighthouse. This place was called Bite into Maine. It is a food truck about a five-minute walk to the Portland Head Lighthouse. It has lobster rolls, whoopie-pies, Cape Cod potato chips, local sodas, and more. At their Scarborough location they have a lobster blt and a lobster grilled cheese, ah I know it sounds incredible right? I tried their chipotle lobster roll and it was heaven on earth! After lunch we took a walk over to the lighthouse, it was just perfection. It was like exactly how you would picture Maine...breathtaking!
