Kennebunkport, Maine.

Now, on to telling you guys about Kennebunkport. Oh my goodness, what a darling town! I have been there before but it was when I was really young. Everything about this town just screams, Maine. Unfortunately, we didn’t have as much time there as I would have liked but it was enough time to fall in love with it! We went to the beach, shopped at some charming shops in town, and of course ate & drank some amazing stuff. New England has some amazing beaches. Some of the top beaches in Kennebunkport include Kennebunk Beach; could be referred to as Mother's Beach/Gooch's Beach too, Goose Rocks Beach, Middle Beach, Colony Beach, and Cleaves Clove Beach. We actually went to Gooch's Beach, it was gorgeous. There is something about being by the ocean, it just makes you forget all your worries. This beach is about a 5-10 minute drive to the village of Kennebunkport. The village has a lot to offer. While in the village we did some shopping, ate at Alisson's Restaurant, and also went to Kennebunkport Brewing Company. Oh em gee if you love lobster, Alisson's Restaurant is a place for you. My sister and I shared "Lobster Poutine". It was perfectly crisp french fries with lobster bisque, lobster pieces, and cheese curds over them. It was absolutely heaven! They had a lot of unique "lobster dishes" on their menu and it is right in the village of Kennebunkport. As for the Kennebunkport Brewing Company, they had some amazing beers with a fabulous view! My sister and I shared a flight but they did have some special cocktails as well. If you get hungry while sipping your beer there is a restaurant in with the brewery too. Kennebunkport stole my heart and I’m sure it will steal yours as well.

Portland & Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Hey guys! I recently took a little road trip to good ol New England. I have been going up to Maine/New Hampshire pretty much my whole life. I have family that lives in New Hampshire. In my opinion, everyone should try to make it up to these gorgeous states at least once in their life. For this road trip, I went with my sister and our friend. We all decided to go to Portland/Cape Elizabeth first then drive down to Kennebunkport, and lastly make our way down to Boston. This was actually my first time going to Portland, Maine. It's a cute town with some good restaurants/bars. We ended up getting to Portland around six in the evening because we stopped to see my aunt who lives in Dover, New Hampshire. By the time we got settled into our hotel in Portland, we were just exhausted after a long day of being in the car. We were just ready to grab a cocktail and order take out from somewhere. We went to a little place called Duckfat which is right in downtown Portland and oh my gosh everything was amazing! Duckfat is very small and looks to be always busy. They serve belgian fries, salads, sandwiches, and more. They try to serve local foods which I love. I had a fabulous panini with bacon, goat cheese, and tomato. We also split their belgian fries with sides of garlic mayo and truffle ketchup. Oh my goodness, everything was so good! I highly recommend this place! The next morning, we got an early start and headed downtown to the old port. It had some cute shops and amazing architecture. We ended up meeting up with my cousin at Shipyard Brewery. It was a cute brewery with good prices. A flight was only four or five dollars. We also went to this another brewery called Long Pine Brewery, it was about a five-minute drive from Shipyard Brewery. Overall both breweries had really good beers. And for the wine lover, there is actually a darling place right next to Long Pine Brewery called the Blue Lobster Wine Company. The owner is very down to earth and welcoming. The wine comes in cans and the logo on the cans is adorable. After our beer tastings, we decided to go for lunch in Cape Elizabeth which is about 30 minutes from downtown Portland. It worked out perfectly because the place we wanted to go to eat at was right by the Portland Head Lighthouse. This place was called Bite into Maine. It is a food truck about a five-minute walk to the Portland Head Lighthouse. It has lobster rolls, whoopie-pies, Cape Cod potato chips, local sodas, and more. At their Scarborough location they have a lobster blt and a lobster grilled cheese, ah I know it sounds incredible right? I tried their chipotle lobster roll and it was heaven on earth! After lunch we took a walk over to the lighthouse, it was just perfection. It was like exactly how you would picture Maine...breathtaking!

Live Edge Brewing Company.

Hey guys! Everyone who knows me, knows I love to check out new bars & restaurants that I haven't tried before. I love to eat and drink but who doesn't? I was thinking of doing more blog posts about the new bars & restaurants I recently have tried out. I live in Buffalo, NY which is such a great place to live, it has so much to offer. It has many great restaurants, breweries, wineries, and distilleries.

I recently went to Live Edge Brewing Company which is in Burt, NY. I live in a little town about 20 minutes from the City of Buffalo. Live Edge is about an hour drive for me but so worth the little drive. If you’re coming from Buffalo, you can even make it a little day trip. There are many wineries around that area too. The food, the beer, the staff, and the atmosphere were all amazing. The atmosphere was rustic yet very chic and the staff was warm/welcoming. My sister and I both got beer flights which came with 4 different craft beers. I loved all of them expect for one. I’m kind of picky with beer though. I typically like IPAs and ales. I am not crazy about Stouts/dark beer in general. Their food menu was perfection. They had crispy chickpeas with different flavors, fried pickles, hot pretzel sticks with dips, a veggie burger (which sounded like heaven), and many other amazing options. They also have many vegetarian options which I love.  My sister and I decided to split a charcuterie platter and tater tots with a side of beer cheese/sriracha mayo. The tater tots were AMAZING, they were perfectly crisp! Definitely one of the best I have ever had. The beer cheese/sriracha mayo were also super good. The charcuterie platter was fabulous as well. It came with a couple gourmet meats, some artisan cheeses, pickled green beans, arugula, and some perfectly grilled bread. My sister and I absolutely love that kind of thing. I totally recommend this place, go check it out!

Oils.

Hey guys! Today I wanted to do a blog post about essential oils. I recently started using essential oils and I have become a little obsessed. There are many different essential oils out there and with that comes different benefits with each one. Some popular oils are lavender, peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus, frankincense, lemon, and clove, that is just to name a few. You can do so much with oils, you can clean with them, use them for your health, and even use them as an air freshener. The best thing about them is that they are all natural. You can buy essential oils from many different places but when buying any essential oil make sure it's not made in china and the packaging actually says it is 100% of that essential oil. I bought an essential oil starter kit from a company called Young Living. This is a great company because they I love this starter kit because it came with so much. It came with 11 different oils, a diffuser, an essential oil magazine, 10 sample packets, 2 NingXia Red samples, and a roller. My favorite essential oils are lavender and peppermint, I use these oils like water. Lavender oil can be used for sleep, relaxation, acne, and can actually help relieve pain. I typically use lavender in my diffuser every night. Peppermint oil can actually help soothe stomach aches/headaches, improve digestion issues, freshens breath, and can even help clear your respiratory tract. That is just some benefits from two oils. I can be here all day listing benefits to these and other oils. I hope you guys learned something about oils from my post and willing to give them a shot.

2018.

Happy New Year guys! Is it just me or does anyone else feel like 2017 just started? I do have to admit, I love New Years though. One of my favorite things about New Years is getting a new planner. It makes me feel like I'm organized and getting my life together haha. Another thing I love about New Years is the fresh start. Having this fresh start gives me so much hope and faith for the upcoming year. It's the first day of the rest of your life. I also love making New Years resolutions. Here are my New Years resolutions for 2018... Travel more, spend less time on social media, make new relationships, think positive, drink more water, do more yoga, learn to let things go, become vegetarian/vegan, eat healthier, stop procrastinating, less worrying, less complaining, and pay it forward more. I hope everyone has a lovey 2018 filled with good heath and happiness.
